"And how are the children?"

Upcoming programming at Plymouth

It is said that the traditional greeting among Masai warriors is, “And how are the children?” The standard answer, “All the children are well,” indicates a society at peace that prioritizes caring for its young and powerless members.

Throughout the coming program year, many Plymouth boards and committees will bring forth the question, "How Are the Children?" with regard to those within the church and the wider community.

The Justice and Peace Task Force will host a video presentation and conversation about Palestinian children in Israeli military detention and parallels to the treatment of children on our southern border. Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) will share statistics about homeless students living in Kent County. And, our Youth and Family Task Force will focus on how we can best nurture the young people of Plymouth. Watch for your opportunity to be involved in this important endeavor. It’s all part of how we are called to be the church in the world, pursuing peace for all God’s children! Join us.
