Don't be fooled! The fight for human rights continues here and abroad. Join Grand Rapids' local Amnesty International group at Plymouth United Church of Christ the first Monday of every month. All are invited to join in support of human rights. Visit the Amnesty GR page on Facebook for more information and updates.

LGBTQIA+ Allyship 101

Plymouth's Open and Affirming Committee invites Plymouth members and friends to attend this introductory LGBTQIA+ Allyship 101 workshop. An “ally” is a term used to describe someone who is supportive of people who identify as LGBTIA+. Plymouth member, Alan Headbloom will lead interactive exercises that teach how to show up as supportive members of the LGBTQIA+ ally community. This promises to be a dynamic and informative experience.

Stand with Black Lives Matter

Wednesday, June 5, 12:15 p.m. - 12:45 p.m.
Rosa Parks Circle, Downtown Grand Rapids

Join this ongoing demonstration with participants from several Grand Rapids' churches including Plymouth Church, All Souls, Fountain Street, and Westminster. The group gathers the first Wednesday of every month. Meet at the corner of Monroe and Monroe Center (by the Rosa Parks statue). Black Lives Matter signs are provided.

We are honored to invite you to the official Installation of Plymouth's pastor, Rev. Rachel J. Bahr. An Installation is a special gathering of the congregation and attendees from the Grand West Association for worship, music, formal commitment, and celebration! Pastor Rachel's mentor, author Rev. Monthly Bible Study and Potluck

Still time to register - Children's Opera Camp

Rehearsals: June 17–21 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Performance: June 21 at 7:00 p.m.

Introduce your child to the fantasy world of opera! Summer Children's Opera Camp is returning to Plymouth UCC. Directed and choreographed by William and Hollis Bokhout of The Children’s Opera Studio. Children rehearse and build an entire opera production; learning stage craft, music in groups and as solos, dancing and acting. The production this year is The Miracle Tree, an ecological opera. The camp is offered free of charge, but space is limited. Registration forms are available in the church office or online. Opera camp is for children ages 6-12.
