U.S. Immigration History and Policy

January 22, 29, February 5, 12 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

What do you know about the history of U.S.immigration policy? With this series, we continue our programming around the theme: "How Are the Children?" Join us as we begin a four-week class that will cover the basics of over 150 years of U.S. immigration policy, much of which has a direct affect on the children of this world. The class is broken into these sessions: 1) History of U.S. immigration policy; 2) Facts vs Propaganda on U.S. immigration and immigrants; 3) How U.S. foreign policy is often the cause of immigration; and 4) Immigration Reform vs Immigrant Justice. Classes will be held at Plymouth and are sponsored by the Justice and Peace Task Force. Because class size is limited, we ask that you RSVP via Evite or the church office at (616) 455-4260. Once you RSVP, you'll receive a list of class materials and resources.
