"White Fragility" Book Discussion

Plymouth's Racial Equity Committee is coordinating use of the book, White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism, by Robin DiAngelo, to help with  our anti-racism journey.

Two 4-session discussion groups will be starting this fall. One will meet Sundays from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 pm at the church on the following dates: October 13 and 20, and November 10 and 24, led by Tony and Sharon Maniscalco. The other will take place on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on October 23 and 30, and November 6 and 13 at the home of one of our members.  Each session will focus on 3 chapters of the book, so you have plenty of time to do the reading. You can mix and match Sundays and Wednesdays to fit your schedule if necessary. Sign up for a group by contacting the church office (616) 455-4260 or secretary@plymouthchurchgr.org) or using the sign-up sheet on the Racial Equity table in the church narthex.
