Lift Every Voice…

“Churches can play a unique role in this election cycle by encouraging respectful, informed dialogue that builds community and a hope-filled vision of the future that includes all people. We can help restore the soul of democracy.” – Rev. Traci D. Blackmon, UCC

Rev. Blackmon wrote these words in July of 2018 (https://www.ucc.org/lift_every_voice). They hold true today. Plymouth’s Justice and Peace Task Force offers the following resources to assist you in giving thoughtful consideration to the choices you make in Michigan’s August primary and the general election in November:

  1. Michigan Secretary of State Voter Information Center: All you need to know to vote including precinct, how to register, absentee voting, and more. https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/
  2. League of Women Voters: Voter’s Guide where you can see the races on your ballot, compare candidates’ positions side-by-side, and print out a “ballot” indicating your preferences and take it with you to the polls. https://www.vote411.org/
