Rev. Doug Van Doren - ACLU Civil Libertarian of the Year

Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 19 when the ACLU honors Plymouth's minister, Doug Van Doren, with its Civil Libertarian of the Year award. The Western Branch of the ACLU of Michigan has recognized a “Civil Libertarian of
the Year” since 1966. This award goes to the person or people who have done the most to advance the civil liberties and rights of the community. Previous awardees include luminaries such as Mayor George Heartwell, Karen Henry, Rev. Duncan Littlefair, Kate Pew Wolters, Kathy Humphrey, and many others. The event is from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and will be held at the Women's City Club at 254 East Fulton. This event is free and open to the public. Light food and refreshments to be served.
